Katie Wells Begins Leadership Program

The Nebraska City branch has another team member joining Leadership Nebraska City! Customer Service Representative, Katie Wells, was accepted into Class #19 and has already participated in the Skills Development Retreat at Camp Catron. This event has the class members participate in team building exercises to get to know each other’s strengths and build trust. Some of the activities included assisting each class member while they climb up the rope spider web and walking the “raging river” without touching the “water.” They also spent some time together in the classroom discovering their “Real Colors.” Real Colors is a tool that is used to help understand human behavior. There is a color survey that can be completed and the scoring determines what “color” describes a person best. It helps people understand themselves and each other and improves communication. It is a great tool to strengthen any team! Katie “I am glad we completed this in our first class together. It was a lot of fun and helped “break the ice” between us. It will definitely benefit us when we start working on our group project as well!” To top the day off, it was planned and hosted by our very own, Sara Horstmann, from last year’s class!
